During his time at Norwich City Football Club, founder Stuart Wardle noticed a significant gap in quality physiotherapy services available to the people in Norwich compared with what he was providing at the club.
Stuart felt that the general public deserved the same high standard of treatment as professional footballers. This conviction led to the establishment of Recover Physio, a practice dedicated to providing top-tier musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy. Demand was high, and the practice continues to grow year on year.
At Recover Physio, we do things differently. Our mission is to provide outstanding levels of care through a commitment to permanent recovery for our patients, not just managing pain. Our Approach
We have a proven twelve-year track record of providing exceptional physiotherapy services for all. All of our physiotherapists go through extensive training in the Recover Physio treatment, a tried and tested, high-quality method developed by founder Stuart Wardle. This method has been honed over the years, based on the team’s strong background in high-performance disciplines.
The aim is to standardise the approach to physiotherapy, only using the most effective treatments to help patients most efficiently. Bringing this high standard of treatment to more patients was top of mind when Stuart decided to open the business up for franchising.

Stuart Wardle
Founder & Director
Stuart Wardle, the founder of Recover Physio, established the company in 2012. He currently serves as the Company Director as well as a practising physiotherapist.
ÂStuart previously worked at Norwich City Football Club as part of a successful multidisciplinary team, working his way up to Head of Medical at the club. To help meet the demand from the public for quality physiotherapy in Norwich, in 2012 he opened Recover Physio, and hasn’t looked back.ÂStuart’s number one focus is treating patients ethically, and is committed to helping to get their lives back on track. He has a passion for improving the level of care available in Norwich, and his gold standard of care always gets results.
